Helping Masters Students Deliver Projects With Industry

See The Light has designed a new course to help masters students at the University of Auckland work together and practice everything they have learnt on their programmes to deliver a “real” project in conjunction with New Zealand organisations. This contrasts with existing final-year projects that are typically carried out on an individual student basis and tend to be research-based.

Masters students at the University of Auckland in both the Engineering and Economics faculties are now working with industry to deliver projects as part of their degrees. Working in typical teams of 5, the students work on projects nominated by an organisation. These may be business development projects or engineering projects that can be delivered over a six-month period. The students agree on the exact scope of the project and then deliver it using the agile mindset in an iterative, incremental fashion.
