Steven Briggs Profile

Steven is an experienced business consultant, facilitator and project manager who came to New Zealand in 2006. He is the managing director of See The Light NZ Limited, a management consultancy, and a business mentor.

Steven is a professional teaching fellow at the University of Auckland and facilitates at the Auckland Business School, teaching project management, particularly adaptive or agile practices. He most recently worked with Whakarongorau as part of the leadership team for the Covid response, introducing them to the agile practices that the situation demanded. Steven led the Operational Excellence programme at Fonterra that achieved a 100% ROI over its 2 year life cycle. He has also worked for the civil engineering consultants Aurecon, leading their Advisory Group in New Zealand. In the UK he worked for the management consultancy KPMG for over 6 years.

Steven is a PRINCE2 practitioner, DiSC accredited and also a UK Chartered Engineer. He has won prizes from Rolls Royce, Ford, and HMRC for his work.

Steven has carried out a range of consulting engagements with various UK and New Zealand clients. His focus is always to assist people to improve their own organisation’s performance, rather than forcing clients down a standard path.
